Some photos from Flintholm, showing both the Metro station and the two separate S-tog stations.

A Metro train departing Flintholm.
(16 June 2004)
This train has just departed for Lergravsparken. Note the waiting times for the next two trains (next train to Vestamager in two minutes; next train to Lergravsparken in five minutes).

This view from the Metro station at Flintholm shows both the S-tog stations: the lower one serving lines F (Flintholm - Hellerup) and F+ (Flintholm - Klampenborg), and the upper one, parallel to the Metro, for lines H and H+ (Frederikssund - Farum) and C (Ballerup - Klampenborg). The latter lines run via the Central Station (Hovedbanegården), while the former do not.

Here are the lower-level platforms. Directly above us is the Metro platform, while in the background is the upper-level S-tog station.

A train of older S-tog stock, running as line F to Hellerup, arriving on the lower level.

A stationary view of the same train with a Metro train above.

Another view of the same train. Notice the clearly marked area for bicycles.

This view shows a Metro train departing (for either Lergravsparken or Vestamager), seen from the lower level.
(16 June 2004)
A train of newer S-tog stock, running as line H to Farum, arriving at Flintholm on the upper level.
(16 June 2004)
The same train on line F departing Flintholm. Notice the pronounced bulge in the profile at waist level. One distinctly notices that the interiors of these trains feel roomy.
(16 June 2004)
After the train has departed, notice that (as in the previous view) the next train indicator still briefly shows that the next train, for Farum, will arrive in 0 minutes. (It changed a few seconds later.) These indicators are an old-fashioned flip type.
(16 June 2004)
Another view of the upper-level platform, with the sign now indicating that the next train is line C for Klampenborg and will arrive in six minutes.
(16 June 2004)
From the upper-level platform, a Metro train is seen departing. In the foreground, notice the crushed rock wrapped in wire. This is a common type of barrier along both the S-tog lines (which are really just railway lines) and the Metro lines.
(16 June 2004)
From the upper-level S-tog platform, a view of both the other platforms.
(16 June 2004)
A train on line C for Klampenborg on the upper level at Flintholm. The next train indicator still shows that this train will arrive in 1/2 minute.
